From application to starting your job in 7 steps. We make the process clear so you know exactly what to expect.

Step 1: Job application

You have found an interesting job opening, for example here on our website
Complete the application form and upload the required documents
We’ll get in touch with you by phone (WhatsApp) within a few days

Step 2: What are your ambitions and background?

During the first phone call, we’ll get to know each other and talk about what you are looking for in a job
We’ll prepare your CV based on your education and work experience
We’ll also go over the practical aspects of working and living in the Netherlands
We arrange an appointment in Portugal

Step 3: Matching

We’ll see if your profile fits the position you are applying for
If we have any doubts, or if you submit an open application, we will review the options and provide you with a clear proposal

Step 4: Contact with our client

We will introduce you to our client
Together with the client, we go over important details such as salary and your start date
At this stage, the client may also want to have a phone call with you

Step 5: All systems go?

Then, we’ll get everything ready for your journey to the Netherlands
We’ll arrange your trip to the Netherlands, in consultation with you. You can come by car or travel by plane
We’ll let you know where you’ll be staying in the Netherlands
On arrival day, we’ll pick you up from the airport and bring you to your accommodation

Step 6: The first steps in your new life

We will schedule a first meeting with the client
The first days or weeks are used to train you. How this is done exactly varies per client, but you can be sure that you will receive proper guidance

Step 7: Communication and support

Whether you’re new or have been working in the Netherlands for some time, our door is always open for a coffee
Feel free to ask questions, and if you run into any problems, we’re here to support you

When you come to the Netherlands, Althius will pick you up from the airport to make your arrival as smooth as possible.

If you travel back to Portugal for family visits or vacation, we’ll take you to the airport. And when you return to the Netherlands, your car will be clean and ready for you!
